H.O.T. Boxes

1 Samuel 17:17-18 (GW)

"Jesse told his son David, 'Take this half-bushel of roasted grain and these ten loaves of bread to your brothers. Take them to your brothers in the camp right away. 18 And take these ten cheeses to the captain of the regiment. See how your brothers are doing, and bring back some news about them.'"

The H.O.T. Box (Honoring Our Troops) ministry was started by Tatiana Skipper whose husband has been deployed to Afghanistan. As a church, we would like to honor our brave men and women who serve in our armed forces. Each Sunday in the fellowship hall, we will have H.O.T. Boxes available to be filled with various items to be sent to those loved ones overseas. It is our wish to send care packages to as many soldiers as we can, so the more donations we have, the more troops we can serve. An extensive list of care package items is available, but remember, something so small as a letter or picture can make someone's day. The H.O.T. Boxes will be sent out monthly on every second Monday of the month. To help with shipping costs, we will also have a donation jar available. If you know a soldier who you would like to honor, please contact Teressa with his/her mailing information and a picture.
